The state of the art ScanCook BC-1800 has the potential to change the way we eat away from home forever.

This machine is easy to use and because of its scan start and cook error free system undercooked food is now a thing of the past.

The consumer simply buys the pre-made meal, scans the barcode onto the barcode reader, and then places the food into the microwave cavity and press start. The easy to use display guides the consumer through this process so no programming is necessary.

The scanner can detect details from the barcode such as how long the meal should be cooked for and also the power the meal should be cooked.

The ScanCook system has the option for storing the names and the amount of the meals it has cooked, this information can be downloaded or read from the display and then used to control stock intake.

This brand new idea is both practical and affordable, with potential to work anywhere that customers require, offering 24 hour hot food service.

AWI will supply all the software to the food manufacture to enable them to bar-code the food required.

How to use:

The system works in the following way.

The customer views the product inside the chillier unit. Part number Easy 5000.

Then purchases the food required.

Remove the food container from the chillier unit.

On the top surface of the food container, there is a bar-code that holds the relevant information as to cooking time and sell by date.

The barcode is then scanned via a hand held unit or by placing the food container inside a receptacle where the scanner is housed.

Once the bar-code has been read the display on the microwave oven will say "Place food in Microwave"

The customer will open the microwave oven door and place the food container inside and close the door. Once this has been done the display on the microwave will say "Press Start". The microwave will start cooking the food.

If during the cooking process the door is opened, a 30 second count down timer will be activated. If the timer is allowed to count down to zero then that food will not be allowed to be re-cooked as the bar-code will be destroyed due to the microwaves effect on the material used to produce the label.

{The above is a safety measure that stops the customer receiving under cooked food}

Once the food has been cooked the display will state "Please remove food".

Barcode System

The microwave vending system uses bar-code technology to tell the microwave oven how long to cook the food and if the food is out of date then the microwave will not cook it.

AWI will supply all the software to the food manufacture to enable them to barcode the food required. They will need to establish the correct cooking time by purchasing a standard version of our 1000 watt or our 1800 watt Microwave oven depending on the power required.

All bar-codes will be placed on the food container during food manufacture.
